Backpack Sizing & Load:
Our packs are engineered for kids and therefore sized based on torso length. Fit is the key to pack performance so take the time to get it right. To find torso length, measure the back along the spine from the level of the iliac crest (the top of the hipbones) to the C7 (the knobby bone at the base of the neck). Our adjustable shoulder and hip belt straps will enable the necessary fit after selecting the suitable pack. A properly fitted hip belt rides centered over the hipbones and needs to be snug for maximum carrying efficiency.
When is comes to the backpack load, we recommend less than ¼ or 25% of the child’s own body weight in total backpack weight. That’s why we engineer our packs carrying capacity in conjunction with size/torso measurements. We cringe when we see kids with adult sized packs strapped on practically falling backwards under the weight of the load - most noticeable during the school year. We’re working on this problem so stay tuned.
Snow Sports Helmet Sizing Chart:
To determine the right helmet size, simply measure the circumference of the head above the ears and around the forehead. All of our helmets come with a micro adjust feature for super fine fitting adjustments to ensure the proper fit within each size.

We bought this so our 2 year old daughter could ski with her dad. She is 4 now and still using it. He controls her speed with the leashes, stows them away during breaks and uses the handle to pick her up after spills. HIGHLY recommended for skiing with young children!!

I highly recommend this product. After a difficult first year of teaching our 3 & 4yr olds to ski, we bought this harness and it made world of a difference. Kids enjoyed skiing with the harness and made them want to ski more. The handle is wonderful to get on/off the lift. Both kids don't need us to hold on to them anymore but we still put the harness on for the handle.

This is a great product! I got it to help teach my 5 year old how to ski. This gives her the freedom of skiing on her own while I get to control her speed. The handle is also very useful. Each time she fell I could just grab teh handle and boost her up, this is highly underrated. The handle turned out to be just as important to the ski day as the tethers to control her speed.

When my 2 year old was learning, I skied next to her with my hand loosely on the handle — allowed her to control her own skis, but as soon as she started to fall, I would just pick her up, stop for a second to let her get her legs straight, and continue on. Zero hard falls kept the fun factor high, and she pretty quickly learned to keep her skis straight — never used edgie-wedgies.
The products that just feature harnesses without the handle wouldn’t allow this.
Plus — as she got older, the “cool” factor of having a backpack like mommy & daddy helped us convince her to keep using it.

I started skiing at about age 26 and am just ok. I wanted to start our 3.5 yr old out this year and saw the Ski Trainer. It is wonderful. Having the pack for the straps and the handle is just a joy. Also, the backpack straps allow a good grip anywhere, on the hill, on the lift, picking him up after a fall. My son is doing well and I am completely content in his safety. (it is great when we need to negociate the boarder carnage just off the lift that I can just pick him up and move through and then set him down). The Ski Trainer has made this a completely safe and rewarding experience for both of us. Thank you.
